Event Series
Stream Team
Get hands-on with stream science. Join community volunteers who collect and identify aquatic insects to measure river health. No experience necessary—come help and learn.
What You Will Do
Gather in the field to sample streams and identify macroinvertebrates—the small insects and organisms that tell us how healthy our waterways really are. Your findings help track water quality, habitat conditions, and long-term watershed trends.
Some teams focus on mussel surveys and transect monitoring, adding critical data to regional conservation efforts. No experience necessary. Come learn and be a part of the team.
Why It Matters
The data you collect directly informs watershed protection decisions. You’re not just observing—you’re contributing to the science that shapes how we manage and restore our rivers.
